So, I finally got around to cutting kirks hair last weekend and I wanted to share some pictures with you. Enjoy the slide show.
Another exciting thing that happened was I got my State Educators license. Pretty huh?
This Last weekend we attended Grandpa Blake's funeral. The services were fantastic and the spirit was so strong. They even had a fly over with airplanes. Grandpa would've loved that. We will post some pictures later.

Glen John Blake, 77, Richfield, passed away March 7, 2008, in Provo.He was born April 17, 1930, in Greeley, Colo., to Glen Thuesen and Elizabeth Schroepfer Blake.He married Marguerite Christensen, June 1, 1950, in the Manti LDS temple.Glen was a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings, including, bishopric counselor, high councilman and membership clerk for 18 years. He served an LDS mission with his wife at Cove Fort and also served a service mission at the LDS Employment Center. Glen was a member of the Civil Air Patrol for over 25 years and was a 2nd Lieutenant there. He was a good husband, father and provider. Glen always served those who were in need.Glen was a very quiet man that didn't want the spotlight on him. He always served and fixed a lot of things for people at no charge. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Marguerite, Richfield; children, Gary (Janis) Blake, Price; Larry (Janae) Blake; Wesley (Patsy) Blake; Craig (Karalee) Blake, all Richfield; Jean (Russell) Farnsworth, West Jordan; Joan (Roger) Peterson, Roy; 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brothers, Alma (Norma) Blake, Salina; and Ralph (Janell) Blake, Richfield.He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister-in-law, Patricia Blake.Funeral services were held March 11, in the Richfield LDS East stake center, with Bishop Steve Damron officiating and conducting. Compassionate services were provided by the Richfield LDS 6th ward Relief Society.A family prayer was offered by Eric Peterson (grandson), and the invocation was given by Alma Blake (brother).Prelude and postlude music was performed by Natalie Webb.Musical selections included “Remember Me” by Rosalie Christensen, Jeanine Wilkinson, Marilyn Fleming and Kaye Bybee and accompanied by Robyn Mills; a medley of primary songs by grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and congregational hymn, “Lord, I Would Follow Thee” and both accompanied by Joan Peterson (daughter).A tribute was given by Jean Farnsworth (daughter). Speakers included sons, Gary Blake, Larry Blake, Wesley Blake and Craig Blake, and remarks were offered by Steve Damron.The Benediction was given by Ralph Blake (brother).Serving as pallbearers were grandsons, Scott Blake, Kirk Blake, Steven Blake - serving in the Texas Fort Worth Mission for the LDS church, Bryant Blake, Joshua Farnsworth, Jeremy Farnsworth, Jacob Farnsworth, Jordan Farnsworth, Nicholas Peterson, Eric Peterson, Jason Peterson and Derik Blake.Honorary pallbearers were Ralph Blake, Alma Blake, Kenneth Christensen, Marvin Christensen and Guido Schroepfer.Interment was in the Richfield City Cemetery, and the dedicatory prayer was given by Gary Blake (son).

It was fun to run into you this weekend, I'm glad you chased me down at the mall! Your hair looked nice Kirk :o) I need to learn how to cut Paul's hair. It's so straight, you can see every little mistake you make! I usually leave his to the professionals. Spencer's is much more forgiving!

Scott could never stand to have his hair that long. If it gets 1/4" he says it's too heavy and gives him a headache. nice to see you guys last week.

Wow Kelli! How does it feel to be a professional educator? I bet you are loving it! Congrats!
Congratulations on the Professional License! You earned it and we are proud of you. Kirk we all gave you a hard time with the long hair but no one says much when we try every hair style under the sun as women! It is just different than what you had ever had. Maybe some were jealous because you could actually grow hair. I say grow it while you can and where you can! Well not really but that was a good statement. It seemed like you, Scott, and Steven couldn't stand to grow your hair only to a certain point without it driving you all nuts so it was just different to get use to. You always look good.
