We went with Kirk's family to Lake Powell the middle of August. I have to be honest in saying that I was a complete wreck the weeks leading up to it. I was terrified of loosing Kyden, worrying about the sleep, bugs, and most of all basically living on the beach for a couple of days. Once we got there however it was a blast. Kyden loved it! He loved the water and he loves the dirt. I'm not so sure that he liked the taste of the dirt or his life jacket but we all survived and made it home in one piece! Thanks to Kirk's family for making it an awesome vacation and for helping me with Kyden so I could enjoy it too~

Lake Powell wouldn't be complete without sand sculptures. Kirk and his siblings could do this for hours... and they did. This was Liz, Kirk, and Steven

We went water skiing. I even got up and stayed up for awhile. I am not saying I did it gracefully because I am sure I looked super awkward. Hence no picture but here is one of Kirk who does a pretty good job!

I loved the tube rides. It required no talent at all other than hanging on. We even took Ky for a short smooth ride.

Grandma Janae and Kyden

Kyden is just like his dad he loves playing in the dirt... It was a little hard for me to watch but he enjoyed it!

This is how I survived watching him in the dirt... His own little bathtub provided by grandpa Larry. Warm water and all

This is the real big sand sculpture....If you dump water down the hole behind it the water comes out the mouth. Pretty talented I say. I told Kirk that he and his siblings should go on that sandcastle building competition show and he said he couldn't do it because they have to watch their sculptures get blown up!

Kyden's own little raft/boat

While we were at Lake Powell my parents stayed at our house so they could see some Shakespeare plays. When we got home I started finding these little pink papers everywhere. Here are some that I found
