Memorial Day

Every year on Memorial Day my family heads over to the Richfield Cemetery because they have this awesome program that they do every year.
They play Taps, do a gun salute, a patriotic speaker, and this year they even had a fly over.
It's always so fun to be with my close family and my extended family.
Here we are at Grandpa Hal's Grave.
We always have a fun picnic outside. I didn't get any pictures because it was FREEZING outside. But it was still fun. Oh yeah did I tell you that Richfield had a power outage...well let's say they majority of Sevier County for like 5 hours.... It was crazy! So no fried chicken this year.
We always have so much fun when we are together. After the lunch Kim, Preston, Kirk and I went shooting.WE seriously should've got pictures or videos of Kim and I trying to throw the stupid clay pigeons. The next day I was so sore I could barely move my arm. It was sore for like 4 days. That goes to show you how hard I tried. We were laughing pretty hard.
Here is Kim shooting the little gun :)
Kirk is a natural.
Thank goodness and Kirk and Preston were so patient with Kim and I because seriously we struggled bad.
After my side of the family left we went back to Kirk's parents and hung out. While I was sewing with Janae, Kirk was out back with Larry and Kyden. This is what I found after they were done.
He loved it.
I wasn't a huge fan of the mess but boys will be boys. I think Kyden will be a lot like his dad when I comes to being outside and playing with dirt.
I look forward to this day every year.

Love that dirty little kid. Wouldn't it be fun to get dirty like that and not care.
