We were so lucky to be able to go to Lake Powell this summer. Kirk probably would've been in a really bad mood the rest of the year if we hadn't. We had so much fun with Janae & Larry, and Kami & Steve.
Ky was a little iffy with the life jacket at first but he didn't complain after he realized we could only go if he had it on. He was such a trooper
Here is Kami & Steve enjoying the ride.

Kirk & Larry looking for a spot to camp. It was a little harder this time because the water has risen so much that all the camping sites are pretty much covered in stuff.
It was pretty warm outside so it was nice to have cool water right by our camp so we could get in and cool off.
After setting up camp we went for a boat ride. Larry took us to this sandhill. Kirk says they haven't been able to go there for like 9 years because the water has been so low.
Kami, Steve, Kirk & Kyden ventured over to the hill.
They use to be able to pull the boat right up under the hill.
I stayed on the boat and read. Can you see them on the hill over there?
Kirk & Steve climbed all the way up then ran down. There were some other people there who were throwing their uncles ashes off of the rocks.. That was a bit weird.
Playing in the water on the way back to the boat.
When we got back to camp Janae hung out with Ky while Steve, Kami, Kirk & I did a short swim.
We climbed up on the rocks... They had some pretty weird bugs up there.

Kami and I after a fun day. We had already had enough sun :)
Ky hanging out with Grandma at camp.
We always camp out under the stars check back for part 2 for a few pictures of that.
