Kirk's 10K

My husband is a little bit crazy...I guess my S-I-L is too. They are training for a marathon. So they realize how far that is? I am starting too. About a month ago Kirk had me drive him down to the Kanarraville exit then leave him there so he could run home.... that's like 10 miles... I can honestly say that they have my respect though because you won't see me doing that.
Anyway with his training for the marathon Kirk has decided to do a few races before so he signed up to run the 10K at the summer games. He was gone before Ky and I even woke up but we drove over to see him run in. Kyden was very happy to wake up and find himself in the truck. We had only been there about 10 minutes when Kirk came running in.We were really proud of his time seeing as how he has been training distance and not time. He did awesome. I would've still been back on mile 3.....almost dead. Here is Kirk & Ron
We were actually really surprised and happy that Kirk placed.
He got a bronze medal in his age group!
Way to go Kirk!Pretty cool medal huh?
Kyden liked it.
I finally admitted to Kirk that sometimes I get jealous of him because he is so cool and always excels at what he does. I guess I am lucky because my husband is so cool!
I really am proud of you Kirk.

You are awesome Kirk! Kelli, you excel at all the stuff you do too. You both rock. And, yes, I think I am starting to realize how far 26 miles is, but too late to turn back now. ;)
